The Usratak editorial team
The team behind Usratak writes plain, careful guides and tools for mothers and families, always from published health sources.
Who we are
Usratak is written by its editorial team. Our aim is to explain pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and baby topics in plain Arabic and English, and to give you tools that are quick and private.
How we write
Every health page is written from published sources, such as the World Health Organization, the CDC, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the FDA, the NHS and Mayo Clinic. The sources are listed at the bottom of the page and open the original, so you can check any claim.
- No invented statistics and no personal medical advice
- Where a source gives a range or a rule, we name the source and keep to it
- Where something is only an estimate, we say so
- Where doctors differ by country, we say to follow your own doctor
- Every page shows the date it was last updated
What this site is not
Usratak gives general information. We are not a medical practice, and our pages are not reviewed by a physician. They do not diagnose, treat or replace your doctor, midwife or pediatrician. If something worries you, or you have a warning sign, contact your doctor or emergency services. See the medical disclaimer.
Corrections
If you find a mistake in a figure or an explanation, we want to correct it. Accuracy matters more to us than anything else on this site.
